Chapter 195: Bizarre (Part Two)
Da Quan and others were monitored in Gold-Sharing Duke’s residence when Fang Jie was imprisoned, and they wouldn’t get their freedom back if they entered the Martial Arts Academy with him. So, he shook his head and said, “Since the murderer is targeting the students of the Martial Arts Academy, my friends should be safe. Plus, ordinary people won’t be able to enter Gold-Sharing Duke’s residence.”
“You are right.” Qiu Yu nodded and walked out of Fang Jie’s shop. Fang Jie ordered his people to watch after the shop and followed Qiu Yu.
The two of them walked along East 23rd Street, and the next stop was Beckon of the Red Sleeve.
It would be strange if many rich gongzi didn’t go to Beckon of the Red Sleeve to watch dances and pretend to be scholarly.
“Mo Wanwu must be going crazy now, right?” Fang Jie asked while following Qiu Yu.
He saw that the young man who walked past his door was sitting not far away and devouring a bowl of hot noodle soup as sweat appeared on his forehead.
Fang Jie thought, “It seems like he is enjoying himself. When was the last time that I got to enjoy a meal and a good night’s sleep?”
Qiu Yu replied to Fang Jie’s question, “He didn’t return after the first student got killed last night. He would turn the murderer into pieces if he finds this person.”
Then, she bought two tea eggs at a food joint.
Beckon of the Red Sleeve wasn’t far from Fang Jie’s shop; they were both on East 23rd Street.
East 23rd Street was one of the most prosperous streets in Chang’an, and it became more bustling since Beckon of the Red Sleeve returned.
Many pedestrians could be seen on the street, and vendors were shouting out their offerings.
In front of Beckon of the Red Sleeve, countless horse-drawn carriages were moving back and forth. It felt like aristocrats and people from big families would think that their status dropped if they didn’t go to Beckon of the Red Sleeve once in a few days.
“Professor, you can wait here; I will go find them in there.” Fang Jie knew that Qiu Yu liked peace, so he volunteered to find his schoolmates.
Just as he expected, Qiu Yu nodded and said, “I will wait for you at the gate. Be fast; we still need to go to other places.”
Qiu Yu ignored others’ stares and ate the tea eggs that she bought earlier in front of Beckon of the Red Sleeve. Not even a shell fragment fell onto the ground.
Fang Jie nodded and went to find Little Dot on the second floor.
After he whispered into Little Dot’s ear, her face changed color, and she ordered a servant to go onto the stage and beat the drums.
The building instantly quieted down after the drumbeats, and Little Dot walked onto the stage and said apologetically, “If there are gongzi from the Martial Arts Academy in here, please go to the gate. A professor is waiting for you for an emergency.”
Although she wasn’t loud, her voice echoed in the building. Fang Jie couldn’t help but take another look at her; she was indeed stronger than she seemed.
Soon, more than 20 young men walked out of Beckon of the Red Sleeve and bowed after seeing Qiu Yu.
“You need to return to the Martial Arts Academy together! Don’t separate and don’t go home. This is a military order, and no disobedience is allowed.”
“Got it!” Although these students were all from big and rich families, they instantly got serious after hearing the military order.
“Professor, what happened?” someone asked.
Qiu Yu shook her head and replied, “Return to the academy first. I will tell you when we are back.”
