Beckon of the Red Sleeve’s business was great enough for many people to be jealous of, and the crippled old man still seemed lazy and idle.

This old man’s life seemed extremely simple, and it only contained two things. One was a bench, and the other was a liquor gourd.

Although this old man and the bench didn’t fit the luxurious atmosphere of Beckon of the Red Sleeve, he was always there.

When Fang Jie walked through the door with a pack of stewed meat, Little Dot was dealing with a customer who was causing trouble.

It was clear that this customer just came to Chang’an for the first time, and it was annoying that he was treating Beckon of the Red Sleeve like a low-class pleasure quarter.

Some people from remote and small places were arrogant to overcompensate for their low self-esteem.

Seeing this, Fang Jie passed the stewed meat to the crippled old man and asked, “Why didn’t you throw him out?”

The crippled old man grabbed the meat and ate a piece before saying, “Beckon of the Red Sleeve has its rules; this guy isn’t causing that big of a mess to be kicked out. Also, Little Dot hasn’t seen idiots like him. She should gain more experience. I’m not needed right now.”

As soon as that was said, Fang Jie heard a scream. He turned around, and his eyes opened wide.

Little Dot who was still young grabbed onto the collar of the troublemaker and lifted the latter off the ground even though he was more than 1.75 meters tall.

Then, Little Dot smashed him onto the ground. The latter was in so much pain that he couldn’t even speak.

Little Dot didn’t stop there; she did the same action twice.

After that, the troublemaker turned extremely weak.

“How dare you… hit me. I’m going to report to the Magistrate Office of Chang’an…” the troublemaker said choppily; several bones in his body were broken.

Little Dot placed her foot under this person and suddenly kicked up, sending the latter flying.

Two employees of Beckon of the Red Sleeve moved fast and caught this person before he landed. The troublemaker almost peed his pants, and he thanked these two people subconsciously.

“You’re welcome!” the two of them said before swinging the troublemaker and throwing him out of the business.

This fall was much harder, and the troublemaker couldn’t even stand up.

Two policemen just happened to walk by on patrol, and this troublemaker grabbed one of the policemen’s legs and complained.

The two policemen looked at him as if he was an idiot, and they helped him to go to the Magistrate Office of Chang’an.

Of course, nothing would happen.

After this was over, the crippled old man shrugged and said, “See, I told you that I’m not needed.”

Fang Jie smiled awkwardly and said, “I almost teased Little Dot too much last time I was here. Seeing this, I should probably not get too close to her.”

The crippled old man glanced at him and said, “You are a fool if you think that way. If she likes you, nothing would happen if you tease her too much. However, if she dislikes you, she will beat you to death for nothing.”

“Master, do you think she likes me?” Fang Jie asked.

“You can try,” the crippled old man replied.

“Then, I will tell her that you asked me to tease her.”

“F*ck off!”

Fang Jie chuckled and sat down beside the crippled old man before asking, “Master, I need help.”

“Just speak. I know that you wouldn’t come to me if you don’t need help. Damn, you are colder than many customers of pleasure quarters!”

Fang Jie cleared his throat and asked, “Master, you have been in the martial arts circle for many years. Do you know any organizations or sects around Chang’an that complete tasks for money? Solving problems for others with the right price?”
