After only traveling for less than three kilometers, Fang Jie was already far ahead of Da Quan and Mu Xiaoyao. If Fang Jie didn’t slow down, the other two wouldn’t be able to see him in half an hour.

“The warhorses of Northern Liao are exceptional!” Da Quan praised after he caught up with Fang Jie.

Da Quan and Mu Xiaoyao’s horses were pure white, looking like two clouds that were floating on the ground. In comparison, Fang Jie’s horse was even more eye-catching. This horse had long manes, and it truly looked like a blazing fire.

“But…” Mu Xiaoyao frowned and said, “Do you two sense a chilliness from these horses?”

Even in a cold place like Fangu, Mu Xiaoyao only wore a thin red dress. Now, her horse made her feel cold; it showed how strange the warhorses of Northern Liao were.”

“Indeed!” Fang Jie nodded and said, “Also, it feels like this chilliness could get into people’s bones.”

Da Quan hesitated for a moment and asked, “Is it because Northern Liao is too cold?”

“It doesn’t matter!” Fang Jie laughed, “It will be fine once we get used to it. I like my horse more and more!”

While speaking, the three of them traveled through the narrow path and got onto the public road, dashing toward the southeast.

However, Mu Xiaoyao’s expression soon turned serious.

“There are many masters ahead. Also, it seems like the road is blocked.”

Just as she looked at Fang Jie and was about to ask what to do, she frowned and said, “There are people coming from behind as well.”

“Can you sense the strength of the people in the front?” Fang Jie asked.

Mu Xiaoyao stopped her horse, closed her eyes, and carefully sensed. Fang Jie and Da Quan also stopped and didn’t dare to disturb her.

After about five minutes, Mu Xiaoyao opened her eyes and said, “The people both in front and behind us are less than two kilometers away from us. There are only a few level 3 and level 4 masters among those who blocked the road, but there are quite a few masters who we can’t deal with behind us.”

“Let’s charge forward!” Fang Jie cussed, “Even if I have to die, I will die in front of the gate of the Martial Arts Academy!”

-In a village about 500 kilometers away from the Maple Forest Ferry Dock-

A few seniors were chatting under the shade of the big tree at the front of the village, and they suddenly saw someone walking close.

This person was alone, and he was a stranger. He was about 20 years old, and his white scholarly robe fluttered in the wind. His long hair that was casually tied behind his head lightly moved in the wind, adding to his ethereal presence.

These seniors who were about 60 years old had never seen a man this handsome before. On top of being handsome, he appeared unworldly. His figure was perfect, and his movements were exquisite.

This young man walked to these seniors and asked politely, “Seniors, how far is the Maple Forest Ferry Dock from here?”

“Maple Forest Ferry Dock? The ferry dock on the way from Xiang City to the River-East State?” a senior asked.

That young man nodded.

The senior thought for a moment and said, “Probably more than 500 kilometers away. I never went there, so I’m not sure.”

The white-robed young man asked again, “Am I on the right path?”

“You are! You are going in the right direction.”

Hearing the confirmation, the young man smiled and thanked these people again.

Then, he returned to the public road and beckoned his hand. Suddenly, a pure white tiger that was bigger than a bull jumped out of a bush and roared toward the seniors.

The tiger’s limbs were huge, and its shoulders were wide while its waist was slender. Its tail was close to two meters long, and the word on its forehead was bright red!

[TL Note: The patterns on tigers’ foreheads were similar to the Chinese character “王” which means king. That is why tigers are known as the king of beasts in China.]

The tiger’s roar terrified the seniors, making them collapse onto the ground.

“Demon Vanquisher, don’t mess around.”

That young man in white lightly pressed onto the forehead of this white tiger, and it instantly became obedient. It lowered its body and became gentle like a kitten. The young man sat onto the back of the tiger and pointed forward, and the tiger roared and dashed forward, disappearing in a few seconds.
